Sepid Sarv Copper Mine
The exploitation license for the Sepid Sarv copper mine was issued in 2018 (1397 in the Iranian calendar) with a validity period of 15 years. This mine is located in Bardaskan County, Razavi Khorasan Province. In 2020 (1399), the company purchased the Sepid Sarv mine for the purpose of investment and the production of copper concentrate and cathode copper. Due to the low grade of typical copper mines, processing plants must be established to increase the product grade and make it marketable. The Sepid Sarv area is no exception to this rule, and over the past few years, the lack of processing facilities has made economic production from this mine impossible. Flotation and leaching processing units are planned for this mine. The estimated investment for the designed processing units is approximately 2,000 billion IRR, with direct employment for around 200 individuals. Water consumption is estimated at 30,000 cubic meters per year, which has been secured through the purchase of one well and a contract with the Khorasan Razavi Regional Water Company to drill another well. Additionally, since even the tailings are fully dewatered using a filter press, water consumption is reduced. The designed processing units are expected to produce 3,900 tons of copper concentrate (20% grade), 120 tons of cement copper (70% grade), and 196 tons of cathode copper (99.99% purity).
